Fishing With the Ladies
Patty, Cheryl, Angel and Dillon joined me for a fun morning of fishing on this crisp January morning (60 degrees). When the girls outnumber the guys you just know it is going to be a fun trip. I had a great time introducing these folks to our great fishery and wildlife. Patty had said she was looking for variety and she sure enough got it. We caught a bunch of fish including: Jack crevalle, speckled trout, sheephead, ladyfish, catfish, spanish mackeral and others. Here's Angel with a sweet trout, Dillon with a chunky sheephead and Patty with a hard fighting jack. So much fun, but one thing I remember is Patty fighting that big jack. It slammed her artificial lures about 5 feet from the boat. I was impressed how patient she was as the bruizer jack screamed line off her reel time after time. The crew was extactic when the biggun came aboard. It is often said that women are better fishermen than men. It is so true in many ways.
